Our Story
Chris and I met in person for the first time on January 12, 2005. We had already gotten to know each other through telephone conversations and stories thanks to his brother, Rocky, and our friend Steph M. The night we met we were celebrating his 18th birthday, which was the next day. Although he and I were both in relationships at the time, 'til this day we both admit that the chemistry between us was undeniable (I even used to jokingly tell his fiance at the time that I was going to marry him). In November of 2005 Chris, finally single, moved back to the DFW area from Canyon Lake, Texas. Almost immediately after Chris and I became very close and our desire for one another soon went beyond friendship. We started casually dating in March 2006 and made it official on July 1, 2006. Only 3 short months later, on Friday the 13th in October of 2006, I discovered that I was pregnant. Although we had only been together a short time we had already discussed one day getting married and having children, so we buckled ourselves in and decided to hold on tight for the ride of lives together. Our son, Ian Dakota Vail, was born at 4:24 in the morning on May 16, 2007. Chris and I have never been more in love than we are with each other and our amazing son. Although we did things backwards by having a baby and moving in together as a family before getting married, we still want to have a gorgeous and public wedding to celebrate our love and lives together with those closest to us.
Our Wedding
Trying to keep our dating anniversary close to our wedding anniversary, we have decided to get married on July 11, 2009. The ceremony will take place at my childhood church, St. Anne's Episcopal Church in DeSoto, Texas.
Our Reception
The reception will be held in The Great Hall of St. Matthew's Cathedral in Downtown Dallas immediately following the ceremony. More information can be found with the invitation.
