Our Story
Mike and I met almost seven years ago. He was my neighbor and our nieces were friends. As fate would have it, he came over one day to check out the situation with his niece staying the night with mine. After that he came over all the time; befriended my sister and I. Then, it wasn't long before we started dating. We've always know that we were soul mates. God brought us together at a time when we both least expected to fall for someone.
Why did we elope? Mike had already spread the word that he had planned to propose. It was November when I found out he had planned on proposing in Feb. We had a day off together so that we could take my dog in for an operation. When we went to the vet we had expected to be there for hours, but when we dropped Cody off the vet told us to come back in four hours. On the drive home mike asked me " So, what do you want to do for four hours?". My response was " Lets get married ". He looked at me with the eyes of a child that just got the Christmas present they'd always hoped for and said " Are you serious? I can take the east ramp to the court house or the west ramp home?" I told him to go east and the rest is history.
>This is our five year anniversary and what a beautiful time in our lives to renew those vows that we shared with each other in front of our family and friends. We have had five wonderful years of marriage and look forward to the rest of our lives together!
Our Wedding
Our ceremony will take place at the admiral Kidd Club on the Point Loma Military base. The base does not accept rapped gifts for safety reasons, which is why we have registered at honeymoon wishes. Also, all persons eighteen and older must bring a valid photo ID. Please RSVP with full legal names of all guests including children. Please add the age of children under 18 without ID. The base will have a copy of my guest list at the entrence. All non-military drivers must have a pass to enter the base which was sent in the invitations. The ceremony will start at five so please allow time for standard ID check at base entrance. Dress is "Dressy Casual".
Our Reception
Our reception will follow the ceremony. There will be dining, drinks, dancing, entertainment, and good times for all!
Travel Arrangements
*For out of town guests*:
We have a wedding Block at the Meriot Court Yard, across the street from the Naval Base. The rooms are saved for Dec. 26 through the night of the 28th. Choose as many nights as needed and book 30 days in advance. The rooms are at a discounted rate of $129 per night. The hotel provides free parking and also free airport shuttle services.
