Our Story
Dear Family and Friends,
John proposed on the afternoon of July 19, 2008 at the Paramount Cafe on the 16th Street Mall. The Paramount Cafe is our favorite location downtown and just so happens to be the place John and I had our first date. We went to the Paramount to celebrate John's Birthday which was the following day. John had arranged the entire proposal with the manager at the Paramount and reserved "our" table on the patio outside. After accepting his proposal we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at The Palm restaurant in Denver and took a carriage ride around downtown that evening.
The following day we celebrated John's Birthday at his parents home. That afternoon when I thought we were having just cake and ice cream, I was so pleasantly surprised with a wonderful engagement party(it brings tears to my eyes every time I think about it). John and I would like to give special thanks to Mom and Dad for hosting and planning the party. We couldn't have asked for anything more.
A special thank you to Jeanise for singing our favorite song At Last by Etta James, but this time performed by Jeanise Brown who has the most beautiful voice. Although we weren't thrilled about dancing in front of the entire family, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and will cherish that dance for as long as we live. You've given us a gift...the memory of our first dance together and a song so fitting for the two of us. After 25 years of knowing one another "At Last" we can spend the rest of our years enjoying life together.
So with that said... We've created this site to celebrate our love for one another and for your convenience. Please know how grateful John and I are to have every single one of you bless our lives in some way shape or form. We love you all and are so thankful you can share this wonderful time with us.

Driving Instructions:
I-70 West (into the foothills) to Exit 254, the Genesee Park Exit. At the top of the exit ramp is a stop sign, turn right at that stop sign. You are now going North on MVCC Road. Continue North through the MVCC Gate and follow the paved road for approximately 1.3 miles - the Club is on the left.

Our Reception
Our reception will follow the wedding at the Mount Vernon Country Club.
Our guests will be served a lunch buffet to include the following:
Salad-3 different types,
Cheese trays,
Seafood Paella,
Lemon Artichoke Chicken,
Garlic Mashed Potatoes,
Pesto Pasta,
Fresh Vegetable Medley,
Fresh Bread (3 different types) and Butter,
Iced Tea, Coffee or Water
Wedding Cake for Dessert-3 types (Tiramisu, Carrot Cake and Bailey's Cake) all covered in chocolate frosting or ganache.
John and Tara will be offering beer on tap at no charge.
If other drinks are desired a Cash Bar will be available.
Lunch will begin at noon.

We have set aside rooms beginning Friday, Sept. 4 - Monday Sept. 7 for those who want one. All rooms are suites and have either a King or Two Doubles. They all have a sitting area and are fully equipped with a mini-fridge and sink. Very nice for those traveling with little ones who need the extra space or families. $129.00 per night is the fee. This is located in Evergreen just off of I-70. The price is high, but I think it's worth it as you are in the beautiful foothills.
