HOW WE MET

We met at Dellis' on a very interesting night. It was a Thursday, so of course it was karaoke night. I had just had my tonsils taken out four days earlier, but had gone to see a concert with my mother that day. As I talked, it sounded as if I was deaf because of the surgery. I couldn't speak very well (oddly enough) and I had no intentions of meeting anyone that night as I sat at a table in the corner with my mother. James was out with friends at Ruby Tuesday and decided to come out to Dellis with his friend Larry.

Through a very interesting chain of events involving a random guy who thought he was picking up on me with cliche remarks and childish pick up lines, James and myself exchanged phone numbers. A week later, on the 4th of July, James called and we met up for drinks, again at Dellis. It was fireworks from there...

HOW IT HAPPENED

I came home from work one day and James had asked her to come upstairs. On the dresser were burning candles and two glasses of red wine. James got down on one knee and asked me if I would marry him. Of course I said yes!
