Our Story

February 27, 2009....we never thought we would see this day.

When Josh and Veronica first met almost five years ago, neither thought they would be dating, let alone getting married. However, the Lord had a different plan and through a couple years of never talking or seeing each other, getting a few kinks worked out and worked through, they met up again in early 2008. Starting again as friends, they talked a few days a week, and then moved to every night. Things were not the same if we didn't talk.

However, it never hit us to start dating until after Veronica came back from her cross country road trip home to California. Their friendship turned into a relationship on July 20, 2008 and they never looked back.

Seven months down the road, they would be engaged.

How they got engaged was truly the element of surprise...hahahaha

Josh was unsure of how he would propose but knew he had to figure out a way to surprise Veronica. Unable to propose on Valentine's Day as he originally planned, the big day came a week after finding the perfect ring for her. The night of February 27, 2009 was the big day.

They had just finished eating with some friends and family at IHOP, when they headed to their Friday night relaxation. Veronica was just sitting on the couch watching TV when Josh came and sat in front of her smiling as usual. He wanted to talk, but Veronica just wanted to watch TV. Thinking nothing of it, he took the remote and turned the TV off. She couldn't believe it. How could he just turn off the TV right in the middle of CSI? Well, there's more to that story....she thought he was practicing to propose at another time...he played the part.....she saw the ring.....

He asked…And she screamed yes....
