Our Story
This love story begins back in July of 1993; I was 20 and he was 22 we were both young and had met through mutual friends at a party. He was the new person to come around because he had just got out of the Army and I was the social butterfly. After that party we soon lost contact. The friends that introduced us soon went there own separate ways and so did we.
It wasn’t until October 2007 that we would soon meet again. Ironically one day, I went to check the mail and while I was checking the mail, I saw a very familiar face. It was then that we ran into one another and I had discovered that we lived in the same neighborhood just 8 houses away from each other. It was at that moment that we soon caught up on all that had happened in the last 14 years. We both had kids and were both single and ready for love. From that day on we were inseparable.
Never in a million years did I think I would ever come across such a great man. He is my best friend, soul mate, and most of all a wonderful father figure to my children. Looking back I don’t know how I made it without him, now I don’t even want to think what it would be like. Getting married would mean the world to me. It would not only bring our love even closer together but it would reassure my heart knowing I have the one thing I love forever.
On March 8, 2009, we decided to go on his Harley for a bike ride to downtown Austin. We arrived at Auditorium Shores and sat in the grass to see the best night view of Austin. It was at that moment that he got on one knee and spilled his heart out to me and asked me to be with him forever. Although it was a simple proposal, it still was the most romantic evening of my life. After the proposal, we talked about our future together and how we couldn’t wait to watch our lives unfold before us.
